The MarshWalk in Murrells Inlet was the place to be this past weekend as foodies from all over flocked to the 9th Annual Taste of the MarshWalk. The event, which ran from 11 AM to 4 PM on March 4th and 5th, featured some of the best food and drink the area has to offer, as well as plenty of activities for the whole family.
Taste of the Marsh Walk Train Ride
Local chefs from the MarshWalk's eight award-winning restaurants pulled out all the stops, presenting their favorite dishes for attendees to sample. From fresh seafood to land lover favorites, there was something for everyone. The best part? Small dish tastings were priced between $5 and $8 per sample, making it easy to indulge without breaking the bank.
In addition to the delicious food, there was no shortage of entertainment. Live music filled the air with local favorites providing the soundtrack for the day. And for those looking for a bit of retail therapy, there were plenty of local artisans, jewelry designers, crafters, and unique clothing items to peruse. The kids were not left out either, as there were plenty of activities to keep them entertained including bounce houses, games, camel and pony rides, and a petting zoo.
And if all of that wasn't enough, each of the MarshWalk's eight restaurants hosted their own Bloody Mary bar, complete with their own creative twists. Sponsored by Deep Eddy Vodka, the Bloody Mary Showdown was a hit with attendees, who eagerly sampled each restaurant's unique take on the classic cocktail.
The MarshWalk Group, a collaboration of the area's best restaurants, was out in full force. Bovine's, Wahoo's, Drunken Jack's, Creek Ratz, Dead Dog Saloon, The Claw House, The Wicked Tuna, and Mojo's Marina Bar and Grille all brought their A-game, showcasing the best they had to offer.
One thing was clear - there was no fee to attend this event, but the view, the music, and the fun was always free here on the MarshWalk! It was truly a weekend to remember, and we can't wait for next year's event.
