Sea Pro picked up my 259 and had it at their facilities for a month or so. They swapped out the props to help with the cavitation issue and did some additional work. The group I hired to sell the boat said it appeared to still have electrical issues. The helm would not fire up, when you put the throttle forward, the boat would go backwards, when you but it backwards, it would go forwards etc. We have now engaged a law firm who specializes in maritime. Sea Pro nor Coastal Marine seem interested in buying the boat back (they could easily fix the issues and likely resell for a profit) but after tens of thousands of dollars spent on this boat, it's still unusable. I am currently engaging a private captain for a second opinion then will have to take additional action in hopes to get rid of this ball and chain once and for all. Sadly, my personal experience with the Sea Pro 259 DLX, equipped with 2 200hp Suzuki Marine outboards and purchased from Coastal Marine in Myrtle Beach, has been anything but idyllic.

Although the repairs were covered under warranty, the consequential electrical issues were not, leading to an unexpected financial burden.
Steering into Trouble: The Optimus Steering System
The Optimus Steering system, which should be a benefit, turned out to be another source of trouble. Broken sensors led to the motors and steering being disabled multiple times. Getting towed is not the experience you sign up for when purchasing a NEW Sea Pro boat.
(Update as of 4/29/2024 -- after spending some $$ at the shop, the steering and the powerto the starboard motor left us somewhat stranded 3 miles out on a fishing trip!!!)

After multiple repair attempts a satisfactory solution included swapping out the lower units to pull water from the exterior of the boat rather then the center. This seems like an issue the manufacturer should have caught and appears to be a common problem according to the Sea Pro forums.

When we compare the Sea Pro 259 DLX to other boats of similar make, model, or price range, it seems to fall short. The number and severity of the issues I've encountered suggest a problem that extends beyond the occasional glitch or hiccup that one might expect from a new boat.
